Wildcraft Camp

Service Description

Wildcraft Camp aims to develop children’s creativity and connection with art, nature, and each other. During this camp we will draw, paint, trace, build, design, and generally become creative with arts and crafts inspired from plants, animals, insects, and the natural environment. This camp is perfect for children who are interested in creating handcrafted useful objects for everyday use. Potential Crafts: weaving, whittling/wood carving, candle making, leather crafting, jewelry making, and more! Schedule: 8:30- Drop off, check in, and free play 9:00- Group gathering, safety talk 9:15- Snack and restroom breaks 9:45- Natural art/craft activity #1 11:45- Lunch 12:15- Natural art/craft activity #2 1:30- Clean up, free play 2:00- Pick up Meals: All parents must pack their kiddos their own snack, lunch, and water bottle. Meals are not provided during camp. What to Bring: All kiddos need a backpack with the following inside: lunch, snack, water bottle, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, small notebook/nature journal, colored pencils or crayons, and What to Wear: Children attending summer camps may dress like they are going to the playground- comfortable clothing that is not restrictive. Shoes must have a backstrap and toe coverings (no flip flops or open toe shoes). Bring a rain jacket if rain is in the forecast. We do have lots of shady spots on the farm to provide protection from summer sun and heat. Staff: All camps through Maverick Outdoors are led by experienced Outdoor Educators who have completed thorough training and are well educated on providing safe and memorable youth camp experiences. Students: Please see our behavior expectations for students attending Maverick Outdoors camps. Should a child be incapable of following our behavior expectations, the child will be dismissed from camp without refund. Should one on one care be needed, a state certified aide can accompany the child. Unfortunately, at this time our staff is not trained to provide one-on-one support. Payment: Payment must be made in full at the time of camp registration. 50% is non-refundable. Should you need to cancel, you must do so at least 2 weeks ahead of camp to receive the remaining 50%. Cancellations with less than a 2-week’ notice are not refundable.
