2026 Summer Camps
​​​We offer summer camps for children ages 2-8 years. ​

All of our camps are hosted at Mini Mavericks Preschool. We have a 10- acre farm that is fully fenced in- yet still offers adventure and autonomy. A core lesson Maverick Outdoors aims to develop involves choice. We help campers understand that they have the right and ability to choose their level of challenge. We provide a safe space for students to evaluate what is and is not an appropriate level of challenge for themselves. All Maverick Outdoor educators seek to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of mavericks while creating memorable experiences outdoors and connecting like-minded people in a shared pursuit of learning, adventure, and stewardship.

SUMMER CAMP OFFERINGS
​Little Explorers
Our Little Explorers program provides children ages 2 through 5 years an opportunity to safely explore, adventure, and engage with our natural environment. This program is 100% outdoors and focuses on social-emotional and traditional everyday life skills while making new friends! The perfect introduction to outdoor school!

Time: 8:30 am -11:30 am
Weeks offered: June 8th -12th & July 27th - 31st

Camp Cooks
* OUR MOST POPULAR CAMP *
Camp Cooks program allows children to learn about, play with, and get creative with food! They’ll get their hands dirty in our gardens and discover various ways to cook and bake using fire, camping/backpacking stoves, gas griddles/grills, pie irons, Dutch and solar ovens, or over coals!
Children will learn about how food is grown, where food comes from, and healthy eating habits. They’ll collaboratively plan, prepare, and cook or bake snacks and meals. Students will create and cook their own lunches together during this camp!
Ages 3 - 8 years old

Wilderness Skills Camp
Wilderness Skills Camp is for those who thrive outside and want to further develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence in an outdoor setting. Children will work together exploring and developing wilderness skills such as building shelters, collecting and filtering water, tying knots, signaling for help, making fire (using various methods), knife skills/safety, and orienteering/navigation using a map and compass. They’ll learn the basics about the ten essentials, clothing, footwear, gear, campsite selection, and first aid. Children will also increase their understanding of Leave No Trace practices. This camp is super fun and informative and provides a strong balance of learning and adventure!

Outdoor Engineers Camp
*NEW this year! *
This camp aims to engage students through outdoor and adventure activities and games that encourage teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation. This camp is perfect for those kids who love to run, roll, throw, be loud, and use lots of their energy! The kids will work together as a team using simple systems such as pulleys, levers, ramps, etc. to build forts, obstacle courses, and more!

Wildcrafts and Woodland Wonders Camp
Wildcraft Camp aims to develop children’s creativity and connection with art, nature, and each other. During this camp we will draw, paint, trace, build, design, and generally become creative with arts and crafts inspired by plants, animals, insects, and the natural environment. This camp is perfect for children who are interested in creating useful handcrafted objects for everyday use.
